When Maria Tafoya's daughter Andrea starting experiencing strange and scary health symptoms, it took them on a 6 year journey to get answers.
Andrea was diagnosed with Scleroderma in 2019, just before her 16th birthday. Since then, her mom Maria has been a formidable warrior mom and advocate for her daughter and the Scleroderma community.
Over the past several years, Maria, Andrea and their family have learned to navigate living life with and in spite of chronic illness.
In this interview, Maria shares about her journey to adding caregiver and advocate to her role as mom.
